Life as a real estate agent in Spain

Hello and welcome to a life as a real estate agent in Spain!

My name is Katja Rise Carlqvist and I run Homenetspain on the Costa del Sol and I really love my job and you will soon understand why I do that.

I will share my experiences as an agent and tell you how it goes when buying or selling a home, how the process goes and what is important to think about. I broadcast very often live via Facebook and my page Bostad Spanien, feel free to follow me there and / or on Instagram - Bostadspanien_homenetspain.

We moved here to Marbella twelve years ago with my family and three children and I have not regretted it one day. We had our first home in Nueva Andalucía and the children went to the Swedish school in Marbella when they were 12, 10 and 5 years old. It was a wonderful time and we felt so welcome by everyone we met and after our trial period of 6 months had expired and no one wanted to go home we decided to stay and that is the way it is. I resigned from my job as reception manager at a large hotel in Stockholm and my husband quit his job as CFO.

It has been almost 12 years and we have lived in several places in Nueva Andaluica, San Pedro, Cabopino but now for 5 years live in Sierrezuela just outside Fuengirola and thrive fantastically well. The eldest son works in Oslo, the middle boy is studying in Lund if our daughter is in her second year of high school at the Swedish school in Fuengirola and I have my dream job!

To be able to help customers find a new home here on the Costa del Sol and be a part of realizing many peoples dream is a wonderful feeling and it has given me many new friends for life!
